Centre–Piedmont–Cherokee County Regional Airport (ICAO: KPYP, FAA LID: PYP) is a public-use airport in Cherokee County, Alabama, United States.[1] The airport is located five nautical miles (6 mi, 9 km) south of Centre, Alabama[1] and 10 nautical miles (12 mi, 19 km) north of Piedmont, Alabama.[2] It is owned by the CPCCR Airport Authority[1] and was dedicated on October 14, 2010.[3]
This airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015[4] which categorized it as a general aviation facility.
Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned PYP by the FAA,[1] but has no designation from the IATA.
